We Are Leaving

Yes, we are leaving.  We are embarking on a month long adventure across an ocean, to the other side of the world – we are heading to the Philippines!  The departure date: January 30th, 2018 at 9:30am.  We are literally counting down the hours until we leave.  Excitement, nervousness, joy are just a few feelings that are swirling around in our minds.  A trip that we have been planning for over a year now will soon become a reality!

Today is not only the start of an adventure to a country across the world, but also the start of a life long journey.  For the longest time now we have talked about sharing our experiences with as many people as we can.  This blog will be the avenue we will use to share our lives with all of you.  Not just all the fun, happy, exciting times, but the good, the bad and the ugly too.  Let’s face it, life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows; it gets rough. There are days for us where anger takes over, days wear fear, and sadness creep in.  We have failures, doubts, and weaknesses. There are always ongoing battles – both seen and unseen.  But the good thing is,  life is not meant to be done alone.  We need one another.  We need a community.

We want to be real and vulnerable with you. We hope to both encourage you and even learn from you too.

We aren’t sure where this blog will take us, or how many twists and turns the path will have, but we hope you come along for the ride.
